ROUTES TO THE ARK Directions
FROM PATRAS
The road from Patras to The Ark in Ancient Phigaleia follows the western coastline of the Peleponnese passing through the small city of Pyrgos. It crosses the Alpheios river near to Epitalio where you can see some great riverscapes.
     Further south to your left is Lake Kaiaphas with its hot springs followed by the seaside town of Zacharo where you will find cafés, restaurants and takeaways.
     Forests and settlements separate the coastal road from the sea so, for a closer look, you will need to make a detour. Look for signs to Kakatova or Tholo beach to stroll along the foreshore before heading into the mountains.
