MARKETS NEA FIGALIA MARKET Sunday morning is market day in Nea Figalia although this is a much lower key event than the bazaar that takes place in Kopanaki. Nevertheless, it does bring locals onto the streets and is the perfect excuse for a spot of people watching. You will find all the ingredients for an authentic Greek salad on sale from the ubiquitous plastic boxes used to transport them to market. Alternatively, you can enjoy a ready made salad in a taverna or a coffee in a café. When you order a coffee it is usual to define the degree of sweetness. If you don't specify, the coffee will be served sweet because without sugar it has quite a bitter taste.
