LEISURELY WALKSDirections FOUNTAIN HOUSE WALK 0.5 hours This short walk to the eastern edge of Ancient Phigaleia is best undertaken in the evening when the graveyard is at its most atmospheric. It starts with a stroll on a typical old village path that emerges at the ancient fountain house. Situated under a huge plane tree, this was an elaborate structure in ancient times and is an inspiring place for a picnic. The return journey involves an uphill climb on the crazy paved road, past the old school house, to reach the graveyard and a C 13 - 14 Byzantine church.
