ROUTES TO THE ARK Directions
FROM ATHENS AIRPORT
The most direct route from Athens airport to The Ark in Ancient Phigaleia involves three motorways: the Attiki Odos to Elefsina; the Olympia Odos (E94) to Corinth and the Corinth-to-Kalamata Moreas motorway (E65). An alternative route is to follow the northern coastline from Corinth to Patras and then head south through pines bordering the beach. Either way, you will cross the bridge over the Corinth Canal that connects mainland Greece to the Peloponnese.
     All the motorways you will travel on are largely empty and are a pleasure to drive on. The scenery is spectacular and there are sufficient service stations.
