It is an attractive building featuring courses of red bricks which complement the stone and white painted columns and roof eaves. Saint Nicholas has his feast day on 6 December and it is not hard to imagine a public festival taking place here. In Greece every day of the year is dedicated to a saint or martyr. If you share a form of the saint's name, the saint's feast day is the day to celebrate. As it is the saint's festival, people visit a local church named after the saint to light a candle and make an offering.
